Dominique
My name is Dominique Alcan Braniste, and I practice Person-Centered Psychotherapy . I am certified by ACP France and have also undergone further training in Focusing. I primarily work in my private practice, but also provide therapy group facilitation and supervision services outside of my office.
My road to becoming a therapist was a long and varied one, which helps me to bring greater empathy and understanding to supporting you in your therapy. I started studying Psychology in my early years, but was pulled onto a different career path of international business. I was lucky enough to have been able to both live and work outside of France for several years, including in the US, where I became fluent in English. From my years in the business world, I understand the challenges of workplace stress, burnout, and other related issues, and my dual cultural background provides me a widened world view.
Finally, I have years of experience in the field of addiction, which enables me to support anyone struggling with addiction or codependency.
If you think that I may be the right person to help you on your journey, I would enjoy hearing from you.

My Practice
- For in person sessions, my practice is located in Paris’s 20th arrondissement, but I am also available for online sessions.
- For an individual session, our time together is 50 minutes. For couples, it is one hour.
- My fees are 75€ for individual sessions and 140€ for couples’ sessions.
Empathetic listening, unconditional positive regard, and congruence are central to my approach during our sessions. I seek to ensure a safe and supportive environment, so that each person can tap into their own inner resources.
If it seems as though it may be useful or appropriate to your journey, I may suggest incorporating an approach centered on listening to bodily sensations. Focusing techniques can be used to better understand and transform what one is experiencing internally.
